ALEX R. BERNSTEIN

Director of Acquisitions and Asset Management

Alex Bernstein represents the fourth generation to join the firm, following his father Asher Bernstein, grand uncle Sidney J. Bernstein and great grandfather Alex A. Bernstein, its founder.

As Director of Acquisitions, Mr. Bernstein seeks out new investments for the firm’s portfolio.  He performs the due diligence, analysis and financing components of each transaction.

As Asset Manager, Mr. Bernstein oversees all the operational and accounting aspects of properties on behalf of property owners.  He is responsible for creating the monthly financial reports and annual budgets for more than 25 properties.

Before joining Bernstein Real Estate, Mr. Bernstein was an associate in Retail Brokerage Services for CB Richard Ellis specializing in landlord and tenant representation.

Mr. Bernstein is a graduate of Union College majoring in European history and has also received an MBA from Columbia Business School where he concentrated in real estate finance.

His interests include yoga, traveling and the New York Times crossword.  He has completed two New York City Marathons and is a certified Kundalini yoga instructor.
